We make use of any kind of media. It’s the idea that is important to us and its realization is a process which we discuss collectively. We embrace conceptual approaches and encourage intense group discussions to achieve a collective experience of which the individual can benefit the most. The critcal mind is able to see problems and suggest solutions from various perspectives. Guests are regularly visiting the class to enrich this process. Hendrik John supervises the students' work with moving images.

Rosa Barba’s work engages questions of time like inscriptions in landscapes, language, cuts across history and subject matter. She is especially interested in abstracting the cinematographic medium to push limits and possibilities.
Like the structuralists, she is preoccupied by the immanent aspects of film and the production of images – the workings of projectors, perception in space, the materiality of the medium as expressed not just optically but in sound and in time.

Rosa Barba studied at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne followed by a residence at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam.
