The University of the Arts Bremen (HfK) maintains partnerships with some 70 academic institutions abroad to facilitate student exchanges in a number of mobility programmes, as well as exchanges of teachers through the Erasmus+ programme. While they study abroad, students at the HfK will be enrolled at a partner university. Both institutions will waive tuition fees over the duration of the stay abroad. The HfK will charge a semester contribution providing for: a semester ticket, student services, contribution to student organisation, semester ticket for cultural institutions.

The list of partner universities, sorted by study programmes, is available here:

Students at the University of the Arts Bremen can avail themselves of studying abroad for a semester or two by using support such as the exchange programme ERASMUS+ (outgoings).

The HfK also offers students from abroad to spend an exchange semester (incomings) or to complete full-time study programme in Bremen (see information on international full-time students).

A range of subsidies and scholarships facilitate mobility and the International Office is providing administrative support.
