The Artistic-Pedagogical Education (KPA) at the HfK Bremen offers Bachelor programmes in Instrumental and Singing Pedagogy (IGP), Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP) and Jazz.

  • Bachelor of Music, KPA-IGP, 8 semesters, 240 ECTS
  • Bachelor of Music, KPA-EMP, 8 semesters, 240 ECTS
  • Bachelor of Music, KPA-Jazz, 8 semesters, 240 ECTS

Diverse course content with a scientific underpinning, competent teaching staff, pioneering internships, numerous job opportunities in and around Bremen, a high level of application orientation without being too narrowly focused on individual professional fields, as well as a broad spectrum of research and teaching content for smaller music colleges all provide an innovative and equally future-oriented training. Contemporary performative examination formats, artistic examinations with plenty of scope for shaping your own concerns and ideas, oral presentations, e-portfolios, etc. contribute to rounding off this programme every semester.

Teachers in the Artistic-Pedagogical Training programme (KPA) generally have dual qualifications in the form of artistic and academic degrees. Teaching is always influenced by their own artistic activities.
