The Bachelor IGP degree in singing intends to enable students to acquire an artistic-pedagogical qualification needed for professional work in extracurricular music education. Teaching and studying are meant to impart the necessary methods, knowledge and skills as well as the ability to learn independently and also to critically reflect against the background of social responsibility. The EMP field of study can be studied in Bremen with two main subjects [elementary music pedagogy in combination with instrumental or vocal pedagogy]. In addition to the close connection between EMP and early instrumental teaching, one focus is on artistic-pedagogical work with almost all age groups. Teaching demonstrations and teaching experiments take place weekly throughout the course with several internship groups, from the parent-baby group to early musical education to performing with seniors.
