Sonia Tedla Chebreab

She graduated in Voice from the Conservatory G. B. Martini and in Musicology from the University of Bologna. She continued her studies, specializing herself in the 17th and 18th century repertoire working with artists of international renown. She regularly collaborates with artists such as Rinaldo Alessandrini, Ottavio Dantone, Alessandro Quarta, Gianluca Capuano, Philippe Herreweghe, Alessandro De Marchi, Federico Maria Sardelli, Helmuth Rilling, Nicholas McGegan, Christopher Hogwood. She regularly performs in some of the most prestigious international festivals and venues, including: Lincoln Center 's White Light Festival in New York, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Théâtre des Champs -Élysées in Paris, Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen, the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest, Rotterdam Philharmonic Gergiev Festival. She has performed in various Italian theaters, including the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Opera de Lyon, Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, Teatro Comunale in Ferrara and the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. She has recorded for Deutsche Harmonia Mundi , Dynamic, Pentatone , Glossa.
