DIS/PLAY 22 - eight perms for a digital age presents eight projects from the HfK Bremen Digital Media Master Program. Located at the Dauerwelle on the river Weser, the exhibition floats between topics such as the experience of lucid dreaming, the materialization of digital memory, the pilot wave theory of quantum mechanics, a tale of eggs and chickens, energy consumption feedback loops, the intermingled state between information and materials, the subjectivity of machine learning and collaborative social spaces. It showcases a diverse set of artistic and design practices that seek to expand and challenge the concept of Digital Media, each individual experiment sheds a light on how technology can be manifested, utilized, questioned or speculated upon.
