The exhibition “The Kids Are Alright” represents 21 positions from the Heike Kati Barath class and three guests in four different displays. From July 16 to October 15, the Galerie des Westens will show four different exhibitions. All participants will always be represented in the various presentations, each with a different focus.
The works, created during the pandemic, show a very different and diverse spectrum of artistic approaches. Painting and drawing are represented as well as photography, video and installation.

"The Kids are Alright" is a song by The Who from 1965, covered by numerous bands such as Pearl Jam and Green Day. Whether the song makes sense for the exhibition or whether the title of the exhibition can only be understood metaphorically. Loosely based on Schiller: "People only play where they are in the full meaning of the word human, and they are only fully human where they play.“
