Student tutors programme
Student tutors programme
By means of the programme Pilot Fish, the International Office provides support for international visiting students at the beginning of their semester at the University of the Arts – Hochschule für Künste Bremen (HfK).
Visiting students study at HfK for a short time, i.e. for one or two semesters. They come from various European and non-European countries. Thus, many things in Germany are foreign to them: new country, new city, new university, different structures, and a foreign language. How long does it take them to cope with all this? What can they do in order to meet these new challenges?
As a student tutor, you will support visiting students, starting a few weeks prior to their arrival in Bremen and helping them through the first weeks of their stay here.
The following support is to be provided: A virtual meeting prior to arrival, organisational support with course choice and cultural activities.
Both sides are to benefit from this programme.
- As a student tutor, you will establish international contacts
- You will improve your language skills
- You will improve your intercultural competence.
If you are interested in intercultural exchanges, please find further information on Pilot fish down below.
Pilot Fish was developed on the basis of various scientifically evaluated projects awarded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
