The Artist in Residence Program
The Artist in Residence Program of the Dynamic Archive (TDA) is hosted by the University of Arts in Bremen in cooperation with Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art in Oldenburg as well as Schwankhalle in Bremen. The Dynamic Archive is generated within a digital platform. The aim of the residency program of TDA is to look for ways to bring the Dynamic Archive and its inherent collaborative and experimental way of working into the physical space as well.
Artist in Residence: Sebastian Lütgert
Sebastian Lütgert is currently holding a residency with Edith-Russ-Haus in Oldenburg. Lütgert is an artist, programmer, writer, co-founder of Bootlab and Pirate Cinema Berlin. He has co-initiated a number of projects on intellectual property, cinema and the internet, including textz.com (2001), the cinema archive 0xdb.org, The Oil of the 21st Century project, Pad.ma, Indiancine.ma, bak.ma, 858.ma, and the open media archive pan.do/ra. He lives in Berlin.
Lütgert has a solo exhibition from September 2020 until 1st of November 2020 at Edith-Russ-Haus in Oldenburg. Moreover, he will hold a public lecture "How Do Artists Work (Other Than Solo)? Towards a Unified Theory of Collaboration" on December 10th, 2020 as well as a workshop “Programming for non-programmers” for students of the HfK from February 22nd till 26th, 2021 as part of the artist in residency program.
