International Symposium Response to Agnes Martin

The focus of this international symposium – of it's lectures, talks and discussions – was formemost the work and the artist Agnes Martin herself, but also her relationships with artists and artistic debates of her time, her texts inspired among other things by Asian philosophies, transcultural networks and finally the central question of the viewer's reaction to the work at the time of the first exhibitions and today.

The conference included not only scholary and curatorial, but also artistic aproaches, it was organized discursively, with a wide range of formats.
