Twenty Years of Work

In her lecture Twenty Years of Work Anne König gives an insight into her work at the publishing house, which celebrates its 20th birthday this year.

Anne König, publisher and author, founded together with Markus Dreßen and Jan Wenzel 2001 the publishing house Spector Books in Leipzig.

Anne König is the editor of all Jonas Mekas (1922–2019) titles in the program. The two volumes of Jonas Mekas’s magnum opus I Seem to Live – The New York Diaries, 1950–2011 appeared posthumously. In 2016 she co-curated together with Jan Wenzel the 7th and 8th Festival for Photography f/stop in Leipzig. In 2019 she published together with Nino Bulling Bruchlinien. Drei Episoden zum NSU.

Spector Books was awarded the top German Publishing Award in 2019.
