Lecture / 12.04.2023

Concert dramaturge, artist and curator Julian Rieken will give a lecture on contemporary concert culture, site-specific, new and innovative concert formats on Wednesday, April 12 at 6 pm.

Prof. Raphael Sbrzesny and Prof. Dr. Felix Elsner have invited him to start and as part of their cooperation project with the Denkort Bunker Valentin and the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Bremen.

The lecture is intended to familiarize students of both departments, but especially students of the Department of Music, with innovative and transdisciplinary concert formats in order to learn about overarching work and performance perspectives in addition to their practice in concert, chamber music and soloist contexts.

With this lecture, the HfK and Prof. Raphael Sbrzesny tie in with the lecture series Please don't stop the music, music as experimental practice and Digital Chamber, a series for music, experimentation and media sensuality, which began in the winter semester.
