Lecture - Piet Hein Eek
Lecture – Piet Hein Eek
Lecture / 25.01.2023
Piet Hein Eek talks about himself and his work.
"Usually my talks are about how it took me almost 30 years to figure out what I was doing.
Fed up with opportunistic recycling, I have tried to be more precise in the way I design and live.
Inspired by building my holiday homes in France, I realised that people used to have no choice but to use what the world had to offer.
Today we have the idea that we are completely free because everything is possible, but in terms of footprint this is not true!
All my life I have made maximum use of the materials, crafts and technology that surround me."
Piet Hein Eek - designer from Eindhoven - is coming to Bremen for the first time at the invitation of POPO and will give a lecture on 25 January at 16.00 in the auditorium of the HfK. Piet Hein Eek is an extraordinary person and a true visionary who, together with his team, has been completely shaking up and inspiring the design scene for decades.
