Lecture Series Fine Arts - Anne Fellner
Anne Fellner - Kombiniere, kombiniere
Lectureseries / 27.04.2022
Within the lectureseries Fine Arts Anne Fellner presents herself and her work.
What? Who? Where? When? How? Why?
A thriller in Norway, the ongoing observation of a lighthouse via webcam, and the combination of abstract signs with less abstract omens. Using the essential W-questions, artist Anne Fellner explores her projects and decodes her practice.
Anne Fellner (CH/USA) lives and works in Berlin. Her genre-bending paintings move across a wide field of styles and materials. From figuration to abstraction, from "hard-boiled" to hypnotic, from cinematic to plein-air: using a variety of techniques, the artist applies her signs and figures to different colored textiles whose physical properties are co-determinants.
Past solo/duo exhibitions include: Wine Or Candy, Haus der Kunst, Oslo (2022); Signs & Portents, Damien and the Love Guru, Brussels (2020); Onion Chamber (with Carla Milentis), Holden Garage, Berlin (2021); Take My Face, Liszt, Berlin (2019).
Since 2021, Fellner has curated The Bellermann Hypnotist exhibition series at Sangt Hipolyt in Berlin.
