International Office
Welcome to the International Office
The International Office (IO) is active in a number of areas: it provides support to German students and teaching staff during the planning of residencies and projects abroad, and advises international students at the University.
The IO provides students with information on the European Union's LLP/ERASMUS student exchange programme and DAAD scholarships, as well as detailed information on studying abroad, opportunities for learning foreign languages, and grants available to international students.
The University's international relations and the internationalisation of its activities are also coordinated through the IO.
The staff of the International Office is happy to answer any of your questions and look forward to hearing from you.

IN-Touch Programme
In cooperation with all third level institutions in Bremen, the University of the Arts is part of the IN-Touch Programme addressing refugees who have been studying in their home country. In order to keep their academic/artistic knowledge and skills up-to-date, they can attend lectures, courses and artistic workshops, acquire German language skills and establish social contacts – independent of their respective residence status.
As a first step, you are invited to come to an informal counselling interview so we can determine how you can make use of/expand your previous knowledge and achievements at Bremen’s third level institutions. You will then attain the status of a guest auditor at one of the universities. The choice of the university depends on your respective focus and interests – we will look for a suitable perspective together.
Subject to availability, you can also attend a German language course.
Moreover, we will team you with one of our students who will support you with organisational matters, which might also offer you the chance of establishing contacts.
To apply for the summer semester, please get in touch in the time from January 15th until February 15th 2016. Courses will be held from April until July.
