Báyò Akómoláfé - Postactivism in the Afrocene: Getting Lost Together

Is there a generous place for decoloniality in the rich conversations we are having about climate chaos and modern despair? What counteracting logics might we sit around, engage, and feast upon as the seas swell and our bodies become inflamed with the heat of the Anthropocene? In this talk, Dr. Bayo Akomolafe discusses postactivism, why the Anthropocene doesn't feel like a political project sufficient to the times, and why the Yoruba proverb urging the listener to get lost in order to find one's way is more theoretically significant to the discourse on modern subjectivities than one might think.
