Oboe

The global radius of activities by oboists trained at the University of the Arts Bremen documents the high, practice-oriented standard of training here. The central aspects are orchestral playing, audition training, reed building, the solo repertoire from the 18th century to today, competition preparations, chamber music and learning secondary instruments (such as English horn, oboe d'amore, lupophon). Historical performance practice on modern oboes is cultivated in dialogue with colleagues at Early Music in order to develop students' individual stylistic confidence.
