These sessions are aimed at those interested in audio editing, image manipulation, or sensor technology. Support and advice for individual projects are available. For sound editing or recording projects, individual introductions can be arranged upon request in the audio lab 2.10.090. You will gain valuable insights into audio processing and recording techniques. Those interested in a practical approach to electronics, sound design, or synthesizers can also use room 2.10.060. In this room, you can work hands-on with soldering irons, Arduino, sensors, or a synthesizer for sound generation. A multi-channel speaker setup is available for this purpose. Consultation hours can be arranged by email or in person. Individual work in the workshop rooms requires a booking and a specific introduction, during which the work to be performed in the workshop and possible editing techniques will be reviewed. After an introduction and booking, a key for the respective appointments can be borrowed from the doorman. The goal is to sustainably support and further develop the technical infrastructure, content communication, and individual project work in the field of digital and auditory media. In addition to the concrete support of artistic work, the position encompasses strategic, didactic, and organizational responsibilities. These include ensuring workshop operations, i.e., organizing, maintaining, and further developing the technical equipment and digital work environments, enabling smooth, trouble-free operation, assisting with troubleshooting the systems used, and continuously developing communication strategies. The design and implementation of target group-oriented workshops to promote technical and artistic skills are supported by subject-specific and interdisciplinary approaches. Offerings at the interface of sound, space, image, code, and movement enable learning processes across disciplinary boundaries. Thus, the support in the workshop improves safety and accessibility and provides advice on safe working methods, handling the equipment used, electricity, volume levels, frequencies, and potentially overlooked hazards.
