This will be a block workshop exploring the different ways of using Unreal Engine, and the potential possibilities of working with it as an artist. It's focus will be using unreal engine and its tools for "creative coding" (or node-ing) to explore real time graphics, generative graphics, non linear storytelling, world building and film making.
The first week of the workshop will be focused on learning the software. It is not important that you come with prior knowledge, but it is important to bring a laptop that can handle working with Unreal Engine, with UE5 installed! Please get in touch if this is an issue.
The second week we will work using the tools explored to develop a prototype for a project. This may be in groups, small teams or alone. At the end of the second week we will present our outcomes. The goal here is not necessarily for a complete project or idea, but to take what we have learned around the capabilities of unreal engine, and expand on it.
The course is aimed at absolute beginners in Unreal Engine and will be held in English.

The course will be graded on ongoing engagement with the course, and final presentation.
