Re:Construct / Re:Imagine is a lab for Modedarstellung/fashion narratives and at the same time a practical field for queering as method: a space for uncertainty, reinterpretation, and performative material critique. Work is based on garments brought in by the participants: worn, forgotten, unloved, found. Sewing, gluing, wrapping, pinning, layering are all possible techniques.
The focus is not on the final product but on the process – a design practice of unlearning, deconstruction, speculative re-construction, and reflection.
The goal is to create a complete look as a visual statement for an op-ed that positions itself beyond market logic, trend dynamics, wearability, and established visual grammar.
The aim is not only to name mechanisms of normalization, but to overextend them – until their logic begins to break down.
Work takes place individually or in pairs. A willingness to experiment, improvise, and engage in collaborative thinking is a basic requirement for participation.
