We strive to make this website accessible. The declaration of accessibility is required by the Bremen Equal Opportunities for Disabled Persons Act (BremBGG). The technical requirements for accessibility are derived from the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).

This declaration on digital accessibility applies to the website of the University of the Arts Bremen.

This website is only partially accessible. It only partially fulfils the requirements of BITV 2.0.

Verification of compliance with the requirements is based on an assessment carried out by neusta GmbH in March 2026, comprising a quick review of accessibility in accordance with BITV 2.0.

Description: Alternatives for non-text content are inadequate or missing. Furthermore, decorative elements have alternative text. The relevant WCAG criterion is 1.1.1 Non-text Contrast.

Measures: Alternatives for non-text content will be added or revised. For decorative elements, the alternative text will be removed.

Description: Regions of the website are not or not correctly labelled. The associated WCAG criterion is 1.3.6 Identify Purpose.

Measures: Appropriate labelling is added.

Description: At certain screen sizes, continuous text with more than 80 characters per line is displayed; the associated WCAG criterion is 1.4.8 Visual Presentation.

Measures: It is ensured that continuous text does not exceed the prescribed maximum values.

Description: There is no mechanism to pause, hide or switch off animations and flashing content. The associated WCAG criteria are 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide and 2.3.3 Animation from Interactions.

Measures: A mechanism for pausing, stopping or hiding motion animations and flashing content is implemented.

Description: Some control elements have a click area that is too small. The associated WCAG criterion is 2.5.5 Target Size.

Measures: The click area of the corresponding elements is increased to at least 44 x 44 pixels.
