Final concert of the masterclass with Prof. Nils Mönkemeyer as part of the Viola Festival
Nils Mönkemeyer is one of the leading international violists of our time and has taken the instrument to a new level with his demanding programmes, own arrangements and first recordings. He is also an outstanding teacher: in 2024/25, the German University Association named him ‘University Teacher of the Year’ – the first time this award has ever been given to a musician.
In his teaching, he combines the highest artistic standards with a genuine commitment to making classical music accessible to a wider audience.
Afterwards, from 9:30 p.m., there will be an after-show party in Mensa13!
