Sub-Library Music

Sheet music in many styles, music to listen to and borrow, books, specialist magazines and music DVDs – visitors will find all this and much more in the Music Branch Library. The publicly accessible library at the Music Department of the University of the Arts Bremen in Dechanatstraße invites visitors to study, work and listen to music at individual workstations and in the glass veranda.

Most of the Music Branch Library's holdings are available for loan and include approximately 17,000 sheet music editions, around 6,000 books, magazines and CDs. The collection covers a wide range of topics from medieval music to the classical-romantic repertoire to current contemporary modernism.

The Music Branch Library is part of the State and University Library (SuUB) and provides specialist literature not only to HfK staff and students but also to members of the public with an interest in music.
The library premises are wheelchair accessible.

Opening hours and further information on the Music Branch Library are kept up to date on the website of the Bremen State and University Library. The library catalogue, which lists all the holdings of the Music Branch Library, can also be found there.
