University of the Arts Bremen | Concert Hall (2.05)
Vergangene Veranstaltung

The composer Ludger Brümmer will present his own acousmatic works in this portrait concert. As the long-standing head of the Institute for Music and Acoustics at the ZKM Karlsruhe (now the Hertz Laboratory), he developed the Spatial Audio System, the Klangdom. In addition to spatial sound, physical modelling and granular synthesis play an important role in his music. He has been a professor of composition for digital media at the Trossingen University of Music since 2017.

Ludger Brümmer will present his compositions on the new 3D loudspeaker system in the concert hall of the Department of Music with its immersive possibilities.

Ludger Brümmer will also be giving a workshop from 11am to 6pm, which is open to interested guests. Registrations are requested at: wdi-workshops@hfk-bremen.de

Programme:

  • "The Gates of H." (1993)
  • "Spheres of Resonance" (2015)
  • "Falling" (2020)
