Four composers. 100 years. A new world of sound.
An interdisciplinary project by the Departments of Music and Art and Design at the University of the Arts Bremen, in collaboration with Ensemble Ribörs, Prof. René Gulikers and Prof. Lea Letzel.
What happens between the score and the performance? How much does a score determine, where does its interpretation begin, and how is this negotiated collectively? Taking the year 1926 as their starting point, students from the Departments of Music and Art and Design at the University of the Arts Bremen are exploring these questions in a joint concert project. Works by Earle Brown, Morton Feldman, György Kurtág and Hans Werner Henze serve as the starting point for different ways of reading, deciding and performing.
Featuring: Fiona Paulini, Leiye Qiu, Junrui Huang, Xinjie Hu, Bingshu Wang, Judith Gürtler, Yohan Pastala-Gupte, Yoshihito Takahashi, Jiyun Yeon, Terezie Janderková, Xueou Chen, Benjamin Malcolm, Seewoo Park, Sinhá Winkler, Miao Liu, Debora Ziemer, Yijia Liu, Isabel Gascón, Hanbit Lee, David Rosenberg, Claudia Jung, Santiago Pisano, Johanna Walleser, Judith Rosenbach and Kippum Lee.
