Ghost – Vernissage
Opening hours
Vernissage: Friday, 16.10.2026, 8:00 p.m.
Exhibition: 16.10.–13.11.2026
What remains when something has disappeared? What returns, what is suppressed, and what is already on the horizon?
The exhibition “Ghost” brings together artistic works that explore the interstices between visibility and invisibility, memory and projection, reality and imagination. Ghosts and spirits appear here less as supernatural beings than as symbols of the unfinished, the repressed, and the future.
The works on display navigate between personal and societal memories, media images, spatial experiences, and speculative visions of the future. They follow traces, reveal gaps, and open up spaces for the unknown.
GaDeWe marks the start of an exhibition series spanning several semesters. The first “Ghost” exhibition will open there at the beginning of the winter semester in October 2026. Additional exhibition venues and presentations will follow over the course of the project, expanding the dialogue between different artistic positions, spaces, and perspectives.
“Ghost” invites viewers to regard the ambiguous not as a deficiency, but as a possibility: as something that keeps questions open, shifts perceptions, and opens up new perspectives on the present.
