The Brazil Combo from the University of the Arts Bremen brings the vibrant soundscape of Brazilian jazz to the stage. Featuring drums, bass, piano, guitar and trumpet, the ensemble explores the diverse stylistic facets ranging from bossa nova to samba jazz. With a keen sense of rhythm, timbre and ensemble playing, the group interprets selected classics and lesser-known gems of this genre, creating an atmospheric blend of lightness, depth and groove.
The band consists of students from the University of the Arts Bremen and is led by lecturer Christian Schönefeldt, who provides artistic guidance and shapes the ensemble.

The "hfk jazzclub" is the venue for contemporary jazz in Bremen. Concerts and sessions with musicians from the university and local and national musicians take place every Tuesday of the semester at 8 pm in the basement vault of the University of Music. Passionate jamming takes place here, or student tryout programmes are presented. Semester projects by the Rehearsal Band and themed concert programmes are also on offer. In short: a think tank for jazz and a meeting place for Bremen's jazz scene.
