The Lisa Trio plays contemporary jazz.
Lisa Wilhelm on drums, Lisa Stick on trombone and Lisa Wulff on double bass share far more than just their first name.
In an unusual trio line-up, the three musicians combine their passion for free improvisation, strong melodies and delicate soundscapes. Deeply rooted in the jazz tradition yet constantly evolving in these challenging global times, the band is known for its unique soundscapes, groove, virtuoso interplay and joy of performance. The intense interplay between the two bass instruments, framed by impressively expressive drumming, lends the three band members’ compositions a special depth.
Social themes such as freedom, respect and trust form the musical focus of the band.

The "hfk jazzclub" is the venue for contemporary jazz in Bremen. Concerts and sessions with musicians from the university and local and national musicians take place every Tuesday of the semester at 8 pm in the basement vault of the University of Music. Passionate jamming takes place here, or student tryout programmes are presented. Semester projects by the Rehearsal Band and themed concert programmes are also on offer. In short: a think tank for jazz and a meeting place for Bremen's jazz scene.
