Two performances dealing with very different topics will take place on May, 16th in the Galerie (Dechanatstraße): A scenic staging of guitar sounds and an AI-based photo shoot. Under the title Performing in HfK – Virtual Spaces, the boundaries between the analogue and digital worlds will be blurred at 7 p.m.
The first part, ‘Virtual Poses’ by Aysen Kocakabak, is about the use of artificial intelligence for a virtual photo shoot. An artistic approach is used to show how current technologies can be utilised for such a scenario. In the second part, the ‘Myths’ project explores new artistic-musical formats at the interface of physical and virtual space. Students from Prof Dr Fabian Hinsche's guitar class will play selected movements from Jan Philipp Meyer's ‘The Voyage of the Argonauts’, which deals with the mythological Argonaut saga. In keeping with this, the audience will be surrounded by virtual stagings.
Both performances were selected and funded as part of a competition organised by the HfK third-party funded project We Dig It! with reference to the newly developed virtual platform HfK – Virtual Spaces.
The event is open to all interested parties.
