Pixie on Acid - songs for those nights when you'd rather stay in a little longer
Pixie on Acid - these are five guys from Bremen who are writing the soundtrack for everyone who knows the feeling of not wanting to go to sleep at night because something big might still be waiting out there.
Their indie rock sounds like long nights, one too many beers and the desperate hope that growing up can still be delayed if you believe in it hard enough.
Inspired by bands like The Wombats, Two Door Cinema Club and Catfish and the Bottlemen, Pixie on Acid write songs that are probably too personal for the therapist, but just right for belting out to a bunch of strangers.
The five Bremen residents-by-choice have been making music together since the winter of 2023 and have so far mainly played their songs where they feel most comfortable: in the pubs of Bremen's neighborhood.
Important information
The University of the Arts Bremen will once again be part of the Breminale in 2025 - with an independent four-day program on the MS Dauerwelle! More than 20 acts from all areas of the university will create a festival format with a thematic focus on each day. The artists present their work in different stage and space concepts - between discourse, performance, concert and club.
Many thanks to all the artists at the University of the Arts for making this year's Dauerwellenbühne program so diverse and exciting!
Thanks for the support to Jonte von Döllen, Lorraine Liedert and the department, as well as Ulas Aydin and Imke Bahr!
