Opening hours

23–31 August 2025, daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

To conclude the 2025 summer semester, the School of Architecture Bremen at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences warmly invites you to its summer exhibition. On display are selected works from the interdisciplinary real-world laboratory Interspace – Ou(te)r Campus, realised in cooperation with the Integrated Design programme at the University of the Arts Bremen (HfK).

The exhibition features models, drawings, installations and artistic perspectives exploring the future of university spaces at the intersection of spatial design, structural frameworks and European cooperation. The works were previously presented to an interdisciplinary jury on 8 July 2025 and are now once again open to the public. The exhibition runs daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 23–31 August.

Interspace – Ou(te)r Campus | What is [a European] campus?
The project understands the campus as a laboratory for reimagining learning, living and collaboration. Through co-creative processes, students have developed visionary concepts for a future-oriented European higher education landscape. The results include spatial interventions, strategies for internationalisation and designs for transnational learning environments.

The initiative is embedded in the European university alliance STARS EU, of which Bremen University of Applied Sciences is a partner. Initial ideas from the project were already presented at the 9th University Day of the National Urban Development Policy 2025 in Berlin, where students engaged in intergenerational dialogue with experts from planning, politics and academia on the question: How can universities contribute to urban transformation?

The project continues beyond the summer. In collaboration with all nine partner universities of the STARS EU Alliance, the format is set to expand in 2026 into an international teaching initiative. The aim is to establish a European campus as an open, interdisciplinary space for co-creation—designed to meet the evolving needs of students and to foster transnational academic collaboration.
