Concert Borsch4Breakfast as part of the Viola Festival
Borsch4Breakfast serves up a musical explosion of flavours with its Appetizer programme: a hearty soup of classical music, Balkan jazz, contemporary folklore and spontaneous improvisation. Four polyphonic instruments – accordion, viola, double bass and guitar – merge into an irresistible mix of sounds that sometimes make you dance ecstatically, sometimes dream gently. One moment jazzy rhythms tickle your feet, the next a quiet melody awakens memories of old folk songs. From fiery dance rhythms to meditative moments, from meticulously crafted scores to the freedom of improvisational development.
The music works like a well-seasoned dish in which each ingredient has its place and yet together they create a distinctive flavour. Boundlessly creative, danceable and yet never pretentious, Borsch4Breakfast brings a breath of fresh air to the classical scene – perfect for those who love familiar melodies as much as surprising twists. Afterwards, at 10 p.m., there will be an after-show party with an interactive artist talk in a relaxed atmosphere in the music cellar / Mensa 13.

Important information
The HfK is barrier-free to a limited extent at the Dechanatstraße location.
The entire building is fully accessible via two lifts, in the west wing and in the middle wing, from the basement to the 2nd floor. Due to a height offset on the ground floor, the toilet for people with limited mobility can only be reached barrier-free from the entrance via the basement and the 1st floor.
Public disabled parking spaces are designated on the street immediately adjacent to the courtyard entrance. In addition, a disabled parking space can be allocated on the premises by the caretakers and the security service. The colleagues can be reached by telephone at +49 421 9595-1400.
