Award for Yuxiang Liu at the Giacomo Puccini Competition

Yuxiang Liu (tenor) was awarded the main jury prize at the 2025 Giacomo Puccini International Opera Competition in Duisburg. The graduate of the University of the Arts Bremen impressed the jury with his artistic maturity and vocal presence.

In February 2025, Yuxiang Liu completed his concert examination in vocal performance at the HfK Bremen with distinction, studying under Prof. Maria Kowollik. During his studies, he already held guest engagements at Theater Bremen and the Staatstheater Oldenburg, gaining valuable stage experience.

At the beginning of the new season, Liu will take up a permanent ensemble position at Theater Lübeck – a further important milestone in his artistic career.
