On 27 June 2025, the Baroque Orchestra of the University of the Arts Bremen performed a concert at the Sendesaal Bremen under the direction of Prof. Mechthild Karkow. Entitled “soavità, dilicatezza e passione”, the programme featured symphonies by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Anton Stamitz, and Joseph Haydn. Although composed within a relatively short time span, the selected works reflect distinct and individual musical styles.
Performed on period instruments and featuring traverso players Anastasia Fedchenko and Eerika Perkkiö, the concert offered a varied exploration of the Classical era's orchestral repertoire.
Looking ahead, the next concert will take place on Saturday, 22 November 2025 at 7:30 pm at the Sendesaal Bremen: Claudio Monteverdi’s Il ballo delle ingrate will be presented by singers and instrumentalists from the Institute for Early Music and Historically Informed Performance at HfK. The performance explores the piece—originally composed for a wedding in 1608—through the lens of historical gesture, with a particular focus on Monteverdi’s expressive musical language.
