Mona Charaf Eddine – light nights and dark days
when i was a kid, i always sat on top of
the yellow flower couch, waiting for my
mother to come home from work.
i was so excited because she worked at
mcdonald‘s and always brought a filet o
fish with her for me. the fact that i can
still see this as an image in my mind is
maybe why i am into photography. i always
tried to reproduce my memories and
feelings, i never thought of this, but,
it might be a good idea for my next
project to reproduce this exact moment
with my mother.. shouldn‘t i write this
here?! well.. i am going to do it anyway.
everything you can see in this book is
something i felt or something someone
else felt and opened up to me. maybe this
is about trust.

Jana Piotrowski – Collecting Mud and Microbes & Create a Body of Mud (Part I)
Collecting Mud and Microbes: 5pm
Create a Body of Mud: 7pm
In a first part, I'll invite you to join me in my working process. The dinghy of the 'Dauerwelle' is used to collect mud from a small island of the adjacent waterbed, which releases the sediments of the river at low tide.
The deck of the 'Dauerwelle' serves as a platform to open up space for shared processes of thinking and experiencing. The Weser mud is prepared here to make a Winogradsky column. In the column, the microorganisms already present in the sediment begin to develop and, over time, reveal themselves as rich microbial communities.
