From 10 to 13 July 2025, the University of the Arts Bremen once again presented its own programme at the Breminale, one of the city's major cultural festivals. Under the title HfK x Breminale, the event ship MS Dauerwelle, moored at Tiefer 2, became a vibrant venue for artistic diversity and interdisciplinary exchange.

Across four days, over 20 artistic contributions reflected the full range of creative work developed at the HfK. These included performances, concerts, DJ sets, sound experiments and discursive formats. Students from the departments of Music as well as Art and Design took part, developing and presenting their own concepts with great dedication. Each day followed a thematic focus and gave space to individual artistic voices.

Whether performance, concert or DJ set, the ship consistently attracted a large and curious audience. This strong interest highlighted not only the diversity of the programme but also the openness of the public to emerging artistic perspectives.

The programme opened with the FRÄCH Salon, a multilingual performance that explored themes of social attribution, accompanied by a salon concert by Hamburg-based artist Kadija.

On Friday, the audience experienced a wide range of sonic and media-based formats — from Mustafa Al Zubaidi’s multimedia project Synthetic Water and the No!Orchestra to the immersive performance Underneath.

Saturday featured a full programme of concerts, improvisations and cross-genre projects, including contributions from juana x xátiva, Maya & the backbones, Feathers and Greed and Pixie on Acid

On Sunday, the collective Radio Angrezi took over the stage and turned the Dauerwelle into a lively space for experimental sound, spoken word and live broadcasting.
