"Ökosystem" – a sound art piece

Mara Hebel´s orchestral work “Ecosystem,” which she completed 2025 at the end of her Bachelor’s degree in Composition at the HfK Bremen, has been selected for the SWR Symphony Orchestra’s masterclass in orchestral composition in Stuttgart in March 2026. There, the score will be intensively rehearsed, discussed, and refined for four days with the orchestra musicians, the conductor, and mentors. The world premiere of the work with the SWR Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Jonathan Stockhammer is set to happen on March 27, 2026, and will be recorded for radio broadcast.

Jinwook Jung (Bachelor of Composition at the HfK Bremen from 2012 to 2016) has been selected as Composer in Residence 2025 by the Fondation Banque Populaire. Jinwook is the first Korean composer to be accepted into this prestigious programme. Over the next three years, he will receive comprehensive support from the foundation for his artistic work, creating new pieces and collaborating with leading figures in the European music scene.
