The short film “Go To Hell, Goliath” by HfK graduates Andrij Smirnov and Luis Janßen received high praise from the jury and was named a semifinalist at Flickers´ Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF), a renowned film festival in the U.S. that also qualifies for nominations to the Oscars. Andrij Smirnov and Luis Janßen created the short film as part of their graduation projects in Integrated Design. As filmmakers and designers, their artistic practice moves between film direction, graphic design, and electronic music.

The film tells the story of a young art student navigating institutional rejection and creative resistance, blending satire, the absurd, and social commentary.

The protagonist's story is based on the contradictions that the directors themselves experienced during their studies: the excitement of discovery colliding with the absurdity of bureaucracy.

„Go To Hell, Goliath“ was shot entirely on the campus of the HfK Bremen and has been supported by AStA and Filmbüro Bremen.
