Statement der HfK Bremen zu den terroristischen Angriffen auf Israel

Our thoughts are with the people on the ground. The University of the Arts Bremen condemns all forms of terrorism, violence and human rights violations. 

We are shocked by the terrorist attacks on Israel and their as yet unforeseeable extent. Our solidarity goes out to all the victims and their families who mourn or fear for them, as well as to friends at our partner university, the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. The University of the Arts Bremen is a cosmopolitan university with an international student community. Almost half of our students come from abroad.

We are committed to peaceful coexistence, freedom and democracy. Members of our university have lived in Israel and have friends and family there. We look with great concern at the political developments and endorse the messages of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). 13 October 2023
