Mario Häring came to international attention after winning second prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition. He performs regularly in major concert halls such as the Philharmonie and the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Elbphilharmonie, Wigmore Hall in London, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and Suntory Hall in Tokyo.

A particular focus of his artistic work lies in chamber music. With the Capybara Piano Quartet, he was awarded first prize at the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition in 2023. His chamber music partners include such musical personalities as Sharon Kam, Pablo Barragán, Kian Soltani, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, Benedict Klöckner, Ragnhild Hemsing and Liv Migdal.

Born in Hanover and raised in a German-Japanese family of musicians in Berlin, he trained at the HMTM Hanover under Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Prof. Lars Vogt. His discography comprises three solo and six chamber music albums.

Since the summer semester of 2026, Mario Häring has been Professor of Piano at the HfK Bremen.
