Introduction to Digital Media, also know as IDM, in the Winter term 25/26 is intended to give all first semester master students an overview of our program so you can make informed choices for a smooth start into your studies. part of IDM will be a series of lectures (open to all members of HfK and Uni Bremen) by HfK and Uni Bremen faculty members, who will discuss their work in digital media and present their version of the scope, issues, problems, and challenges connected to digital media, both as a field of research and practice and as a program of studies. Alexander Sahoo (ID) and Peter von Maydell (DM) are offering a joint, cross-program course: Students from Integrated Design and Digital Media are invited to contribute to the development of urban bicycle culture through their diverse experiences, perspectives, and methods. Four topics are available to choose from: 1. Cargo bike 2. Fun or play bike 3. Pimped or show-off bike 4. Bike with an unusual drive system The social, political, ecological, or design aspects typically associated with bicycle culture may play either a central or a minor role in addressing these topics. Bicycles can be modified, enhanced, or altered. Add-ons, accessories, equipment, or even body-related products can be designed and prototyped. If the necessary skills are present, it is also possible to build complete bicycles. The projects should be rideable and/or “erfahrbar” by the end of the lecture period. Alexander Sahoo ( ID) und Peter von Maydell (DM) bieten eine gemeinsame, studiengangsübergreifende Lehrveranstaltung an: Studierenden aus dem Integrierten Design und Digitale Medien sollen mit ihren unterschiedlichen Erfahrungen, Perspektiven und Methoden Beiträge zur Weiterentwicklung der urbanen Fahrradkultur liefern.  4 Themen stehen zur Auswahl: [list] [*]1. Rad mit unüblichem Antrieb  [/list] Die sozialen, politischen, ökologischen oder gestalterischen Aspekte, die typischerweise mit Fahrradkultur in Verbindung gebracht werden, können bei der Bearbeitung der Themen eine wesentliche oder auch nur eine untergeordnete Rolle spielen. Es können Fahrräder modifiziert, ergänzt oder verändert werden. Es können Anbauten, Accessoires, Zubehör oder auch körpernahe Produkte gestaltet und prototypisch umgesetzt werden. Wenn die handwerklichen Voraussetzungen erfüllt sind, können auch komplette Fahrräder gebaut werden. Die Projekte sollen am Ende der Vorlesungszeit fahrbar und/oder erfahrbar sein.
