Double Bass/E-Bass

The HfK Bremen offers comprehensive studies for Jazz Double Bass and Electric Bass. The programme is designed for students who want to prepare for professional careers or advanced studies in jazz, pop, rock, fusion, funk, new improvised music, and other musical genres. The involvement of international guest lecturers such as Richie Goods, Esset Essiet, Ugonna Okekwo and Remi Vingolo enriches the training in Jazz Double Bass and Electric Bass. In addition, all students receive two years of classical training in the Orchestra Department. The programme also offers a variety of opportunities to gain practical experience in concerts, jam sessions and studio productions at the in-house HfK jazz club. Cutting edge equipment is available, including recording technology, four excellently adjusted double basses, amplifiers and well-equipped rehearsal rooms.
