Contemporary Pizza Quattro Stagioni II Exhibition / 17. – 19.06.2022 Exhibition series "Contemporary Pizza / Quattro StagioniClass Katrin von Maltzahn in Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig and Bremen In mid-May 2022, the class of Katrin von Maltzahn, University of the Arts Bremen, launched its four-part exhibition series "Contemporary Pizza / Quattro Stagioni". After the first installment in May in Hamburg, the second venue will now take place in the Berlin project space Sangt Hipolyt, which is run by the artist Burkhard Beschow. Opening is on Friday, 6/17, at 19:00. On Saturday, 6/18, at 17:00, there will be artist talks. Cities and squares are finally lively again. The pubs are packed. Crowds are gathering in front of museums, galleries, theaters, and cinemas – people are queuing up, seemingly in a good mood, even exuberant. Exhibiting, museum visits, discussions in large groups, easygoing get-togethers at exhibition openings... all things that are vital for artists no longer seem strange and utopian. Times have changed; plans can be made beyond the digital space. After brainstorming, putting out antennae and finding collaborators, the exhibition series "Contemporary Pizza / Quattro Stagioni" was born. In art spaces in four different cities, each time new works by students of the class will be shown. After Hamburg and Berlin, venue three and four will follow in the fall at Kunstraum NeuDeli in Leipzig and Galerie Mitte in Bremen. All exhibitions are created in cooperation with the operators of the spaces or external curators and are site-specific. Each time, a new interplay is created from the pool of current works from the class. The exhibition lasts one weekend, opening is on Friday evening and on Saturday there are artist talks.It's time to get out of isolation now and back among people. With a beer and some pizza, art is seen, shown, and negotiated in different places and spaces.
