Ulises Bimmermann - Malerei des Scheiterns (Painting of failure)

Ulises Gaspar Bimmermann's haunting works on canvas and wood surfaces with heavy frames range from small to large format.
In his paintings, the young artist plays with supposed opposites such as beauty and horror, shine and dirt, pleasure and disgust.
Always starting from a deliberate beginning, the paintings take on a life of their own, begin to communicate and happen over time out of ever new emotional states and situations that unite in them. At the same time, a wide variety of materials, some of them found, are woven together. They are failed attempts to bring and maintain an order in the chaos, like an accelerated process of decay.
In his work Ulises Gaspar Bimmermann reflects psychoactive borderline experiences, he describes his works as an interface between the inner and outer world, a reflection of the world through him as a Weltschmerz marked subject. From the artist's point of view, the only permanence lies in the transience (and) of life.
