Staff Council

The staff council of the University of the Arts Bremen looks after your interests. Our tasks include the comprehensive representation of employees in all important questions concerning regulations on working hours, service agreements, job descriptions, VBL (Versorgungsanstalt des Bundes und der Länder), annual leave regulations, new hires, rest breaks, sabbaticals, conflict resolution and overtime. If conflicts of interest with colleagues, superiors or employees cannot be resolved through dialogue, the staff council suggests involving conflict counselling at an early stage. 

The staff council also works discreetly by supporting the content and form of processes. Staff council work is an honorary role that takes place during working hours. This includes staff council meetings, meetings with department management or, for example, helping to fill vacant positions.
