Electroacoustic Composition

Electroacoustic Composition is offered as an independent field of study in the master's programme, but is also an integral part of the degree programme General Composition. The focus of the master's programme is on dealing with new media technologies and electroacoustic performance practice (sound direction, live electronics). For the entrance exam, however, you only need to demonstrate some basic experience with electroacoustic means.

The HfK Bremen offers special interdisciplinary opportunities, for example for audiovisual projects, sound art and sound design. But you may also concentrate on the interaction of instrumental-vocal and electro-acoustic means.

Students have access to, among other things, two well-equipped studios with 3D speaker setups (9.1.4 and 5.1.4). The events at the Atelier Neue Musik offer a forum for your own projects, but also a wide range of inspiration through guest concerts, workshops and excursions.
