With the joint project BreGoS*, the four state universities in the state of Bremen have set themselves the goal of working together to make their institutions more sustainable. They received social science support and networking through the University of Münster's work package “Sustainability Governance, Networks, and Practices at Universities – A Comparative Analysis” and the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) in Bremerhaven. After three years of project funding, the research phase will end on October 31st, 2025. This will be followed by the transfer phase, in which the developed and tested transformation paths will be permanently anchored within the universities.
The event will present the key findings and transformation paths of the research phase from the Bremen universities, structured according to the respective work packages. Each work package forms a thematically self-contained presentation unit and can be attended independently of the others. After the respective presentations, sufficient time is scheduled for questions, discussions, and exchanges between project members and participants. The schedule for the entire event can be found below.
*Background: Bremen Goes Sustainable (BreGoS) is a joint project (2023-2025) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) involving the four state universities in Bremen in cooperation with the Alfred Wegener Institute and the University of Münster.
