On 14 and 15 February 2026, the University of the Arts Bremen will once again open its doors for its Open House Days. During this weekend, students from the fields of art, design, music and digital media will present their work, projects and performances. Visitors are invited to explore the studios and workshops and experience the special atmosphere of the HfK.

Cornelius Cardew – Treatise
Performance by Karoline Debold, Boeun Kim, Olivia Sorthela Smith Müller, Marlene Trittler
Performance based on the 193-page graphic score by Cornelius Cardew (1936–1981), a work with no specifications regarding instruments, instrumentation or interpretation. Cardew himself described it as ‘a long continuous drawing’. Developed in the Open Topic Block.

Academic Counselling
Are you interested in studying Digital Media, Fine Arts, Integrated Design or Music? During the university open days, lecturers and students will be on hand to offer personal advice on course content, applications and requirements.
The general student advisory service will also be available to answer organisational and interdisciplinary questions about studying at the HfK.
All consultations will take place in room 1.11.070 without prior registration. Afterwards, short tours will be offered for prospective students.

Speicher XI
The HfK has limited accessibility at its Speicher XI location. The university has four floors, which are accessible via two lifts. There is an accessible toilet on floors 1 and 4. There is a designated disabled parking space at the entrance with a ramp.
Speicher XI A
The HfK is accessible at the Speicher XI A location. Access to Speicher XI A is at ground level. The two levels are fully accessible via a lift between halls 2 and 3. An accessible toilet is located on the ground floor between halls 1 and 2.
Food & Drink
Catering is provided: Mensa13 offers two vegetarian dishes. Café Lu serves coffee, drinks and cakes.
Awareness
We want all visitors to feel comfortable during the University Open Days. That is why an awareness team from L'Unita will be on site throughout the event. The team is the point of contact for anyone who needs support or has been affected by inappropriate behaviour, whether sexual, racist or other forms of discriminatory violence.
Team members can be recognised by their purple vests and are available to talk to at any time. Contact can also be made via the reception, Café Lu, Bar Lu or Mensa13.
