On 14 and 15 February 2026, the University of the Arts Bremen will once again open its doors for its Open House Days. During this weekend, students from the fields of art, design, music and digital media will present their work, projects and performances. Visitors are invited to explore the studios and workshops and experience the special atmosphere of the HfK.

Symposium / Theoretical Banquet – Class temporary spaces
While the ancient symposium was highly classed and gendered, temporary spaces class invites everyone to join in the reading of collected text fragments and to turn the old male elite event against itself. In contrast to the Ancient Greek symposium, which centered on wine, our banquet will be about cider.

Special tour to six air-raid shelters in Walle. The central question: What can be done with historically significant spaces? During the walk, the group seeks answers together.

Opening of the H.A. Bockmeyer Travel Scholarship Exhibition – Moira Anouk Meine Fuentes
The sound installation First Movement: The Dream of The Copper Nation approaches the Atacama Desert in Chile, a territory shaped by copper mining. Deformed ceramic Pailas with copper-containing glazes become listening bodies, complemented by a banner and two videos.

2% HFK – Created as part of Luisa Eugeni's seminar ‘Am Rande des Raums’ (At the Edge of Space)
A participatory action inviting the audience to actively take part. As a DIY reenactment of 100% City (Rimini Protokoll), the live poll translates the concept into an open, collective play.

Developed in the interdisciplinary open-topic block of the winter semester, the performance works with a graphic score that refers to Cornelius Cardew's Treatise (1967).
