--- Exhibit Design The Frese Design Prize for outstanding final projects in integrated design at the HfK will be awarded again in 2026. The prize is one of the most lucrative design prizes for final theses at German universities and is sponsored and awarded by the Petra and Dieter Frese Foundation in Bremen. The award is intended to give the author of the selected thesis a good start to their professional life or a new phase of study. All bachelor's and master's theses from the previous year are eligible to apply for the Frese Design Prize. In connection with the prize, there will also be a well-funded exhibition of the works nominated by a jury at the Wilhelm Wagenfeld House (Bremen's “design centre”). The task of this course is to design the exhibition at the Wagenfeld Haus: naming and design, communication design, exhibition design, lighting, outdoor advertising. In cooperation with the Wagenfeld Haus, the Frese Foundation, the HfK event management team and the public relations department. The course is open to all interested design students, both Bachelor's and Master's. Learning content: What is integrated exhibition design? What specific conditions need to be taken into account? How can the work of the HfK be presented in the best possible way? Should a supporting programme with guided tours and lectures be developed? How should communication be designed to inform and interest as wide an audience as possible? So there will be a whole host of practical questions about application. An integrated project with implementation, from research and initial ideas to the finished exhibition. The exhibition is expected to open on 23 April 2026. The project will start in Block B on Monday, 15 December 2025. More detailed dates for meetings, joint development, coordination, etc. will be agreed upon together during the course of the project. Room: 3.13.090 Examination requirements: active participation, ideas and designs ready for implementation Teachers: Prof. Detlef Rahe, Jonas Lang. Possibly in cooperation with other teachers at the HfK.
