Staff Council

The staff council of the University of the Arts Bremen supports your concerns. Our tasks include the comprehensive representation of employees in all important questions concerning regulations on working hours, employment agreements, job descriptions, VBL (Versorgungsanstalt des Bundes und der Länder), vacation regulations, new hires, rest breaks, sabbaticals, conflict resolution and overtime. If a solution to conflicts of interest with colleagues, superiors and employees cannot be resolved through dialogue, the staff council suggests to involve conflict counselling at an early stage.

The staff council also works discretely by supporting the content and form of processes. Staff council work is a voluntary position that takes place during working hours. This includes staff council meetings, meetings with department management or, for example, helping to fill vacant positions.

The four-year term of office of the existing staff council ends in spring 2024. Training and information are already starting for those interested in joining the staff council.
